It's not legal apparently, there's no space between the '5' and 'U'! They were a present from my girlfriend, she'd been told they were legal so she got me a set.
One police officer has told me their illegal, but that they're perfectly legible and therefore he wasn't going to ask me to change them, the other told me to change them but did not 'order' me to do it.
I will change them, I just haven't gotten around to it yet. Presumably I could get them re-done with the correct spacing and be ok.
It's a really pain in the butt that you have to help them to catch you speeding by ensuring your plates are as legible as possible to the SPECS cameras!!!!
