Recaro Seat Catch

Hi,

Went to look at a clio trophy yesterday at a dealer in leeds. does the drivers recaro seat have catchers both side to move the seat back and forward. like the passangers? As there was no catch on the right hand side, just one on the left . i thought it may have snapped off? are they cheap easy to replace if this is the case?

From memory there is only 1 on the drivers seat, and that is on the left side. Didn't think either had 2?

They both have one 'catch'

The passenger one makes the seat fold AND move backwards / forwards.

The drivers just makes the seat fold and doesnt move.

Well, thats what mine does anyway.

I think you need to realign a slipped cable then.

I was wondering if someone would say mine was broke :lol:

It moves backwards and forwards fine via the lever under the seat, should the leaver on the side do the same?

Both seats should have leavers on BOTH sides (just been out to check) which will both tilt and slide them, one missing suggests that it has indeed broken. If your seats fail to slide, you should search the forum for the fix which basically requires you to re-tension a cable - it's pretty simple, maybe a little fiddly though.

The one i saw had obv broken off on the drivers right side, how easy is the lever to purchase/replace?

Should have two levers on each seat, got a spare in the garage you can have for a pint :wink:

I tried to put it off, but my only useful contribution to the Trophy community gets wheeled out again:

Recaro tilt-slide repair

This repairs the tilting but not sliding thing.

the sliding thing sounds like a seat runners issue.....
