You thinking of buying it for the bits? From the pictures and description I'd say that needs a lot of work, hopefully the new owner will give it the tlc it needs.

Any joy in your search for bits? I do keep an eye open almost daily for you but still no joy.

Very nice! it took me back so I had to dig out this picture of me and a mate picking up our phase 2's at Renault Croydon at midnight a long long time ago!

A question for some of the older folk, I wonder how many have also owned a R5GTT?

I was the 2nd owner of G75WVU, a mint 'raider' in my youth. I believe it's still alive.

Sorry I may have given the wrong impression, it's not me doing the rebuild, it's owned by a guy on RTOC and tbh the pictures are not that good. There are some pictures of my white one somewhere on the forum.

I still own a phase 1 R5 GTT and have also owned in the past R11 Turbo,R19 16v phase 2 chamade,along with various Escort RS turbo series 1's.

I had two R5GTT's in my time. A 1988 phase2 in black that was written off by the guy I sold it to. And a 1990 Tungsten Grey model, H25 VUS rings a bell but may be wrong on that. Last I heard it went from London to Cornwall way. I got offered it for £500 before it went but just didn't have the space for it as already had two cars.
