I really don't see the point in modifying a car like the Trophy! Enjoy what it is and then move on to something else. It's got more grip than most people will ever be able to use and no matter what you do someone will always be quicker in a straight line!!
Braking is an incredibly complex science and ultimately it's the tyres that stop the car no the pads etc... I must dig out the link to site with a whole detailed article written by a race team braking engineer.....
Get the big four pot conversion (325mm). But you'll need 17" wheels.

But you should talk to the guys who have done track days in their Trophies. They will know how long the standard ones last before starting to fade etc....
