Last weekend was my two year anniversary of owning the little French S1tbox, so thought id celebrate the event by giving it a well deserved clean over the weekend!!

Method for the geeks: Pressure wash, AG shampoo & wash mit, bucket with grit guards, followed by half a bottle of of Iron-X. I havent clayed, polished or machine polished it yet, which imho proves that my 'use dirt to provide protection' method works. The paint is actually pretty good once cleaned up!! I then hoovered the interior, for the first time in 2 years ...

So yeah, i took 120+ pictures, here are a few of them, not bad for 186k miles

Are you absolutely sure that car has done 186,000 miles???
You haven't made a mistake and just put one zero too many on that mileage figure have you? Looks like a 18,600 miler

BTW do you do machine polishing yourself?

is that steering wheel retrim one of Mikeys on CS?

Nah, its one of Aarons, Mikeys were pretty poor in comparison imho. Shame Aaron he doesnt go on CS anymore really! Edge Automotive are very popular on 197/200.net, so might be worth while trying them instead?

Re: the machine polishing, ill do it myself, not an expect, but its not that hard, especially when the paint is fairly soft like on the clio.

Thanks for the positive comments btw, im currently umming & ahhing about selling it, but seeing it clean like this makes me struggle with that concept lol ...

Have you had your turinis refurbished or are they a new set? Surely the stickers can't still be on after 186k miles!!

Dave - how are you finding the H&R coilovers?

Very good!! Did a little review here after some fairly intense road driving and a trackday at Llandow: http://www.cliotrophy.co.uk/forum/s...ilovers-Definately-a-worthy-Sachs-replacement

They arent new, but are off 'Auckys' car iirc - which is pretty low mileage from memory. He bought some brand new ones, so i swopped my Pro Race 3's for the 'less mint' ones. They are imho, immaculate lol. The originals werent too badly curbed, but as you guessed, the stickers had come off :(

Hi Dave - I knew you were impressed, just wondered if that is still the case. Presume so.
