I pay a bit more than that, im 22 no points and is £560 odd with Direct Line, thats for 10 000 miles a year and parked on the drive in Hampshire. The funny thing is, the Trophy was £27 cheaper than my previous 172 which i thought was odd!

im 19 with 2 years NCB and have brakes declared and once exhaust is declared it will be like 3 grand :shock: :lol:

worth it at my age in my opinion tho!

Greenlight gave me a quote of £390, but i can pay £50 & do trackdays with them

Also mods are not an issue :lol:

Yep, there's no hidden info. I think my age, location and limited mileage do the trick.

Like phil pearce said, I'm always surprised I pay marginally less than I did for my Puma, though that was a little modified, whereas the Trophy is a 'standard' Clio :twisted:

The cheapest quote i got just recently was just over £240 but went with greenlight because i shall be modding(?) but at £470 seems a little expensive considering the quotes other people are bandying around from them.

So I got an aftersales call from RAC and I pointed out it doesn't say Trophy on my certificate. They said, "oh, er that'll be another £43 please!".

I pointed out that I had an email from them that said trophy on it, so the chap said fax it to us and we'll honour the price.

Glad I checked now.

I just had my renewal quote from RAC johnny, it was £1225, I've just cancelled it and spoke to a nice chap who was asking about the Trophy, turns out he has a 172 and does 20K miles a year in it!

I'm 27 and have three years no claims bonus, no accident history and 3 points for an SP30 2 years ago. I'm just about to phone Greenlight and start a policy with them because they have quoted me £470!

Give them a try Johnny, might save you a few quid.
