Knocking noise when not accelerating / engine braking ?

Hi all.

Wonder if anyone has any idea what may be up with my car.
Whenever i ease of the accelerator there is a knocking sound from front of car. Not a very harsh sound and some times sounds like a ufo type noise !

Its not apparent when accelerating so i am assuming its only when engine is braking but cant be certain.

Apologies for my poor explanations. any help would be greatly appreciated

Yeah noticed this one. Mine does it in gears above second though although dont suppose that rules anything out.

I guess take it to dealer and get them to look at it.

Presumably no harm in driving it there unless noise gets worse or performance affected. Silly thing is they had it last weekend for failed engine sensor to be replaced.

I have no idea what a ufo type noise is !
I had a similar problem with my other clio due to the wheel nuts not being tight enough. id just had 4 new tyres fitted and they never tightened the bolts up properly. Everytime i took my foot off the accelerator there was a knocking noise. At first i though it was something loose in the steering columb as i had just had my tracking done. you dontexpect them to leave the wheel nuts loose.!
