Did My First Trophy Track Day Yesterday

And mighty fine it was too. I'm very, very impressed with the car. The weather was mostly absolutely terrible, but the lil' Clio only got passed by one other car the whole evening, and that was a VW Beetle from the Beetle Cup, running an R32 engine and full race wets! I've got some pics from the photographer that I'll put up later - they're really good. 8)

So yeah, I'm extremely happy with how the car went. It does need an LSD, though. :lol:

Excellent, if my Emily found out you got pasted by a New Beetle (Even an R32 engined track monster) I would never hear the end of it, I won't let her buy one because they're so rubbish!

Gutted I never took XOG on track, never known the car at it's best!

Horrible cars, but this wasn't your average Beetle! There were no flowers on the dash for a start...

What do you mean you never took it on track? That sounds kind of final.

And yes, Hoolio, those Van Hool things didn't stand a chance against the mighty Clio. :lol:

My mate was down there on Monday evening in his Mk2 Jetta 16V.

:shock: Shite the track looks drenched! Good on you for having the balls to get out on track during the downpours yesterday, Paddock Hill is a big enough challenge in the dry, let alone with a river running down it!
