Clio Trophy Wanted

Hi everyone,

Firstly, apologies for another 'Trophy Wanted' thread, but I feel like this might be the best way to find the right car.

I'm a long-time lurker on the forum, and after a bit of uncertainty, I've decided a Trophy is what I want next. I sold my ST180 yesterday, so no going back now. Frustratingly, my indecision has caused me to miss out on a few great cars...one of them twice in the space of as many months! I've got a budget of £6500, which can be increased for a particularly good example. Will consider anything up to and around 100k miles - I'm not after a garage queen, but I'd like something in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition throughout that can be driven guilt-free.

I'm looking for as close to standard as possible, with full service history including recent belts and a Sachs refurb at some point an absolute must. I'll still consider cars needing these bits doing, as long as price reflects fairly. A solid history on this forum would also be a bonus.

I'm based in Newcastle Upon Tyne, but more than happy to travel nationwide. Please don't hesitate to contact me should you have anything for sale that may be of interest!

I've tried to get in touch with him Dave, but had no reply since my message on Friday and text yesterday. I'm going to try and call him tomorrow if I hear nothing / don't find an alternative in the meantime. You're right though, its a very short train journey from me so well worth going to see.

Totally agree. Especially a limited run model like the Trophy, I got obsessed looking for one.

I'm definitely at that stage now, it's driving me absolutely insane...feel like I'm checking every possible sales channel every 5 minutes! Which number did you end up buying?

Bought 403, its immaculate. On 86k miles but the condition made it too hard to resist
