Hi. First post and selling. Bad ettiquette I know but I have been viewing the site for a while now when my missus was looking to upgrade her car so have viewed quite a lot as a guest.
Anyway, onto business. She has found her new car so her other car is up for sale.
This has been owned by my partner since Feb 2003 and is only for sale due to upgrading (not a trophy as funds didn't allow, but it is a clio).
She is the 5th owner. The previous owner had the car for almost four years and worked in his fathers Renault dealership in Sleaford so was well looked after before she bought it.
The car has Full Service History
It's had an extra service as well so the 102,000 miles box is stamped, but this was done in October at 96,675 at the same time as the MOT.
Current mileage is 97,340
6 months tax was added Nov so is valid until May 2010
All the MOT's are present and the current MOT is valid until November 2010.
1998 - 37,289 miles (in its first 3 years)
1999 - 44,212 (6,923 miles in that year)
2000 - 52,299 (8,087 miles)
2001 - 62,290 (9,991 miles)
2002 - 75,668 (13,378 miles)
2003 - 81,996 (6,328 miles)
2004 - 84,880 (2,884 miles)
2005 - 86,979 (2,099 miles)
2006 - 89,151 (2,172 miles)
2007 - 91,261 (2,110 miles)
2008 - 93,480 (2,219 miles)
2009 - 96,675 (3,195 miles)
That's less than 15,000 miles since she bought it in 2003.
Cambelt and tensioners replaced @ 54,211 in November 2000
Cambelt and tensioners replaced @ 88,657 in July 2006
Clutch and cable replaced @ 88,899 in August 2006
Aux belt replaced @ 94,608 in March 2009
Thatcham Cat 1 alarm & immobiliser (sorry, not posting more details on this).
Lowered 30mm on the front.
Lowered 1-spline on the rear torsion bar to match.
H&R Camber bolts fitted for correct wheel alignment.
Magnex stainless exhaust.
BB Performance discs with Pagid pads.
HillPower induction kit.
BBS 15" wheels with 195/50/15 Toyo Proxes all round. One is scraped following a parking incident with a high kerb but we have a set of 5 wheels and one is brand new and has never had a tyre fitted to it.
Front tyres replaced Oct 08 @ 93,480 (less than 4,000 miles on them).
Rears have plenty left.
There is also a set of 5x original wheels with good tyres which will be included along with the original airbox from the car. These would complete an almost standard transformation of the car if that was what you were looking for.
Exterior.
The bodywork is to a high standard overall. The colour is genuine Capsicum Red but it has been painted. Due to the low average mileage since ownership this car is still in very good condition paint-wise.
The boot has been replaced (2004) and shows none of the usual signs of corrosion on the lower edge. The bootlid is of an earlier model and had the washer jet removed. The paint has thinned slightly where this was situated due to polishing.
Both rear arches had slight corrosion (2004) so these were corrected at a good bodyshop and repainted. These have just started to re-appear (see photos).
The bonnet and bumpers were painted (2005) to remove stone-chips and are still very good. All the paintwork was done by one high quality painter who has worked on many magazine feature cars.
There is a very small indent on the roof. A firework rocket was next to the car after bonfire night and had hit the car. Once cleaned up it is not too noticable but just being honest about it.
Please see the photos for pictorial views of the exterior.
Interior is standard spec inc stereo and very clean (see pics).
To summarise:
1.8 16v in Capsicum red
97,000 miles
Taxed until May 2010
MOT'd until Nov 2010
Full documented service history and all MOT's.
Folder full of receipts and paperwork.
Cat 1 alarm
Cambelt, tensioners, clutch and cable replaced.
Exterior very good condition
Interior mint condition
Considering everything above, the colour rarity and low average mileage the car is priced at £1499 ovno
No p/x and no silly offers on the car please. Test drives only with proof of insurance.
