I drove very slowly out of a garage once after resetting the computer and managed 49 mpg for quite a few miles! Then I got stuck in traffic and it was counting down before my eyes, finshing up on about 36 mpg after a couple of minutes.
I've only managed to get about 380 miles out of the 1.2's tank this weekend so that's bloody impressive! But I wasn't exactly driving Miss Daisy.
It wasn't so much that i had been driving like a granny but more like i was using every drop from the tank. I was late for work and i had to be there on time. So i took a risk of not filling up and think i ended up doing 37 miles with the light on!!! not a great idea but hey i've still got my job
i got over 300 for the first time a few weeks back, then got just over 360 a few days back, and the reserve light wasn't on. Crusing down the french autoroute...
i live on a long steep hill - I can get 40+ easily leaving home. journey back kills me though. When picking the car up, driving it back from blackpool to home I got 47 mpg as it was brand new i wanted to keep it below 3k revs.
Didn't hit decent milage with that tank though, even though the mpg ended with 45+ - i'm sure they scanked me on the full tank of petrol i'd agreed!!
