A bit of a frivolous question/survey as I fancy a change during the T's spring clean. If money was no/not much of an object what would be your preferred exhaust.
For me it would have to sound great, not too loud and be well made. And anyone who suggests A Yozza will be beaten around the head...
Whats the best technique/product to re-generate/ freshen up & make the Trophy look red again instead of looking faded pink colour? Understand T Cut is not a good idea, machine polish? Mopping? or Turtlewax red colour restorer? Cheers
Hi there.
I recently bought #091 (Yeah I've read all the history but she's in good shape), and I'm shopping for tyres to fit the stock alloys. Can anyone tell me whether a 215/45/16 will work on them? I have done a bit of research and it seems to be fine but would be grateful if anyone has...
Hi - probably a dumb question, but if I want to get #478 feeling as "new" as I can, and i'm already all-in for a BG damper refurb, assume it makes sense to do the rears as well.
Original sachs rears seem to be £105 as well - questions are:
- Just the shocks, or make sense for Springs as well...
Since I withdrew from sale in 2011 (previous thread here with further details), #167 has done another 10K quick and reliable miles. Still puts a smile on my face with every drive and I hope it goes to a good home. Selling because we now have 2 other cars and the Trophy is not getting used...
so next year will be the big 10! must be worth organizing some sort of meet? maybe at another car show, something like Origine RS or prescothill climb, basicly one of less chavy shows :D

Hi All,
One of the best cars I ever had was a 172 Clio Cup. I have decided I now want to get a Clio Trophy as a keeper.
So, am looking for a very well looked after and predominately original spec'd car. Not too fussed about mileage, if the history demonstrates regular and comprehensive...
My beloved Audi S3 is now for sale, take a look :)

Basically I'm thinking of upgrading my car in the near future to one with a bit more power while maintaing good handling. I've got a few questions I'm hoping you'll answer and I'm sure this forum will be a bit biased but I look forward to your comments.
If i do decide to buy it trophy, it will...
When one of my Sachs failed recently I was in a real dilemma over what to do. To have them refurbished is the best part of £500 just for the front two shocks and there’s no real warranty on the repair. Combine that with the horror stories of people having them refurbished just for them to either...
**Offers around £250 for everything, but please contact me - see details.
I'm having another clear out and will sell this little lot for a sensible offer. Fairly expensive kit new that sounds superb installed.
Here's the previous advert...
I have this car hi-fi equipment sitting boxed in...
Hi All
I've just bought number 477 and had it a couple of weeks now. I'm thinking of upgrading the head unit for something more up to date.
Has anyone replaced theirs with a flip out? I'm wondering if it being positioned close to the gear lever will be a problem.
I'd like something possibly...
Has anyone found a way of perhaps trying to prolong the life of the Sachs? We know that they can suffer with road salt/dirt so just wonder if anyone else has come up with a solution to protect them. I'm not sure where the failure occurs, whether it leaks at the top of the body of the main tube...
Clio 182 Trophy No. 108
After 4 years of ownership I am reluctantly selling my much loved Trophy. It has received nothing but the best treatment in its life, and is a truly superb example of the car. I have had to purchase a smart fortwo to get me around the streets of London, and the Clio...
Put the Trophy in for its annual service/MOT and it turns out BOTH front springs are broken and a rear damper is leaking. Car had basically sat for 6 months straight beforehand so I am surprised. Front dampers are fine with no leaks (they were refurbed last August). My questions to you good...
Which tyres offer the best value & performance in 205/45/16?
I only use the T for weekend fun so road noise & wet weather capabilities are of no concern, I just want great performance & value for money. Of course, they have to be road legal too!
Suggestions & recommendations most appreciated.
I have a load more but when I try and transfer them to the forum they fail. I think its because there too big 4000 x 2500 or something, I dont know how to resize lol

Well I've had the car quite a while now and I'm really enjoying it. Anyway I've spent a few quid on the car lately sorting out some bits and bobs that were bothering me. The new additions include:
Miltek catback
Eibach Sportlines and camber bolts
Heko wind deflectors
Also a few months back now...
Just brought a trophy and one of my front sachs has gone :( plus I have snapped a spring.
Been advised by bg that its best to get both done at the same drive in and out cost around £700(without springs)
I've read some people are switching them out for h&r's/spax rsx kits and I'm swaying...
Looking for a good Trophy, so for sale is my Clio 197, details below....

Please give me a pm if you are interested.
Thanks
Hi,
I've just had my dampers back from Simon at Cornering Force and don't hesitate to fully recommend his service.
They are now 'unpinned' and so I want to try and understand what the adjuster actually does and to what degree.
Does anyone have a damper curve for the Sachs at different levels...

I've managed to source Yoki 195/50R15 for £62.30+ each, now I believe this to be a good price is there any others I brands I should consider before shelling out?
I know this is a much discussed thread and I’ve trawled through the searches, but anyway I’m still undecided...
My front pads are nearing the time to be replaced at the moment I've got the Standard Renault discs and pads.
I’ve bought myself the Brembo HC Disks but I’m undecided which pad to...
Hi guys, looking for someone around the area who knows there stuff, rather than letting my old grease monkey play with my car. It will only be for future maintenance not tuning, but I would rather let a specialist do it. Any recommendations? Be grateful if you could help.
Thanks, Luke.
This was part of a stunning exhaust build for BB performance a few years back. The welds and workmanship is superb, I have the silenced de-cat left from the system which Stevo.C bought for his trophy.
This will obviously improve flow through your exhaust system whilst not bursting your ear...
