I will be fitting the above pads in a couple of days, and I've heard you can lessen the chances of them squeeking by filing down the edges of the backing plate. Has anyone on here done this and can you tell me exacly where on the pad I should file and how much? Thanks Graham

I've managed to change a number of things on my cars over the years, however, I'm stumped on how to remove the plates?? I assume they are just on sticky pads, but I'm worried the plates will snap if I pull too hard. Any ideas? Many thanks in advance from an ashamed mechanical genious!
