I sold it regretebly back in 2010 (After 5 odd years and near 60,000 miles - sold on 140,000 miles and...
It will be safe to run on 95, there wont be any real performance benefit running on 99, but iv done not far off 40k in my PH1, and iv tired all different types of fuel, and mine ran the worse on 95, and once swapping to one of the higher octane fuels, the idle is noticably better, and it drives...
Thanks guys, and thanks Simon, i know its at the higher end of the price bracket, but the car is honestly spotless, i really believe you will struggle to find one in better condition, and top condition cars demand top money :)
Please PM or drop me an e-mail if anyone is interested, or for more...
Hey guys and gals,
My other half and I have taken the decision to sell the Clio, my other half is expecting our first baby next month, and as she is now off work we can't afford to run both cars, so we need to sell this one to pay off a few depts.
Ok here's the spec:
2005 '05' Reg

no you can buy just the circlip, but be warned iv had a few valvers that kept spitting the circlip out again and again, we had it down to 40 mins to drain the box, take off the wheel, take out the shaft, new circlip, all back together and oil back in lol
lol tell me about it chap, it does go a bit flat in 5th,sometimes its faster than that, but then again it is standard bar a Blueflame exhaust and its coming up on 123,000 miles now lol
though its nippy enough up to 120 which is plenty fast enough these days
Well my first set lasted till 70k then they were changed but my last set broke down on 109k, when they should have lasted much longer
Stick with the std plugs, in fact Renaultsport only reccomend the std plugs, i tried super 4s instead and it ran with an intermissant missfire, put the genuine...

thought id put up a lil speedo vid of my 172, standard apart from a blueflame system, and with 113k on at the time, no excuses but it wasnt running its best when i shot this
comments welcome and i love the new forum look too!
you dont have to totally remove it, you can slide it over, iv had to do it a few times when changing them on my 172 bud, also make sure you dont over tighten the 5 bolts that bolts the top inlet to the botom inlet,sa iv just replaced mine due to previous people doing them up too tight and...
iv just fitted magnector leads to my 172,with a set of genuine plugs
i chose magnecor for two reasons
1 is that i had a missfire and i wasnt sure if it was the leads but they were looking worse for wear
and 2 because renault wanted £98 for a set of leads!
needless to say the...
