I'm away to put new front and rear cup shocks on the car for coming into the crap weather soon. Would you specifically recommend only using cup front springs with the cup shocks and not using the trophy springs?
My car is needing the driver side rear replaced and the garage has just been on the phone saying the ones they've ordered don't fit. They've been hearing they're no longer available but are going to phone Renault in the morning.
Can anyone shed any light on this and point me in the direction of...
As you can see/hear in the video, there's a noticeable rattle that appears for a few seconds when first depressing the clutch pedal. This then stops while the clutch pedal is still down.
Had the original clutch replaced 2 years ago at over 100k miles. If it was a release bearing would you not...
Cheers for that.
Saturday morning had another obvious clanger. Had parked up on Friday night with over 70 miles showing as the range left and in the morning it was down to no reading on the miles left but still at least an eighth on the gauge.
Drove around 40 miles before filling up and it...
I struggle to see a realistic scenario that's so severe as to negatively affect Trophy values.
Bit more volatile when you're talking about supercars into daft 6 figure territory compared to an old school hot hatch still comfortably within 4 figures in the vast majority of cases.
Finally got a chance to take photos of exactly what I'm talking about. The fuel gauge never used to come on with the needle showing a reading as high as that, at those miles travelled and the range showing a blank.
Just think how time will affect it.
Fast forward 10 years and values can only climb, especially when loads of 172/182's are off the road and such a hatch is a distant memory for most.
As per my comments in another thread, Jesse does not have any stock of these dampers.
He said he was hoping to get more at the end of the year although how likely that is would be anyone's guess.
FYI these have suddenly appeared again on RPD-

I'll break my silence now as I won the auction for these.
I'm told these dampers were originally bought from Jesse. He does not have dampers for sale any more. Told me he's hoping to get more at the end of the year but I wasn't prepared to chance that.
After I last posted I looked back at the old thread and it all sounded a bit dodgy-

Have you dealt with him?
The way they deal with poor tarmac is extraordinary.
Have had some properly rough thumps over poor surfaces and the car always, absolutely always feels tied down and in total control.
Cheers for the above posts- was thinking for these parts specifically.
I don't have any immediate plans for such stuff but figure next time the dampers need a refurb could be ideal. Would be curious as to what rear suspension components are worth replacing outwith the springs and shocks too.
Refreshing this as the link here is now expired.
Would anyone be able to list the parts numbers for a full suspension refresh as a handy guide please?
The RPD website is a bit of a pig to try and filter through these days.
It's not rude but it's not unreasonable to debate the merits of some of the suggestions.
What are the chances of the water pump failing before the next auxiliary belt change? I would expect to comfortably get 8 years out of a water pump. If it ends up needing replaced before then, which is...
