Personally im not keen on them, as they can scratch the paint, as when the wind blows the cover can move around, also if its wet for any prolonged period the car doesn't dry out, and can "sweat" under the cover... I have used a "carcoon" in the past, There like a bubble,,but they don't come cheap...

Ben. You mentioned about removing the rear axle mounts, are the bolt heads captive in the body, or did you have to get a socket on them from above.?? Are they easy to both get to and or replace if needed.? They don't look too hard to remove, its just the threads on mine are a bit crusty...

Personally i fitted the Brembo HC discs with a set of Mintex 1144,s. This was what George had reccomended... The previous owner had the ds 2500,s on but i didnt get on with them... Ive found this combination just right for my use...

Yes to the front arb, the ends look a bit crusty,,,,,, not sure if ide go all the way and do the front subframe....

As im having a bit of a spend on refreshing the suspension on my T . I remember a while ago somebody sourced some plastic spring protectors [or was it some home brew tubing], to help stop the front springs rusting, Ive got a set of Mark Fish springs on the car and love them, but as im having...

Well. Thanks chaps. I think ill be getting a set...:grinning::grinning: If I was to elongate the holes, its "forever". Where as if I get the camber bolts I can always put it back to standard without any ill effects... Mikey, it would REALY help if you were to "expand" on your replies...

Just wondering if many folk have fitted the camber bolts to there cars. Im not "chasing" -ve camber, i just fancy a bit more "aggressive" setting on my suspension. ie -1.5deg with aprox 0.12 toe out., ish... Im guessing this is a reasonable "fast road" setting...? If you have them whats your...

Well it looks like the previous owner has replaced the wishbone bushes with purple powerflex ones, also the anti roll bar bushes and the track rod ends, just need to sort through the receipts and find out just what else was done at the time... That time being aprox 15K miles / 4 years ago.. So...

So im having a suspension re-fresh on my T. Im getting my front struts re-furbed, just started weeping fluid from one of them,,and whilst im in there im looking at replacing the front top mounts with standard versions, and ,, replacing the rear shocks with standard units. So the car will...

My vote would be neither, Ive been lucky to own a few hot hatches , and also been back to re-drive one or two many years later, there NEVER the same as you remember them... Slow, coarse etc etc.... Just my thoughts...

Just thought ide ask the "masses" to see what you all recomend in the way of braided brake hoses. Im contemplating replacing the standard versions on my car... HEL, Goodridge. I know some come with stainless ends,,,, obviously better.... Any others.???? Cheers for now...

Mikey. Nothing against your car, but it if my memory serves me correct, It wasnt fully original,, and it was 100K ++ A lot of folk seem to be after original cars with less than 100K+ miles, nowadays... Oh the joys of selling cars these days..Its just taken me aprox 5 months to sell my BMW X5...

So on the ST, what extra do you get in the "Mountune" package.? Ive always wondered. Are they not more desirable / rarer.?? Is it just a chip change / badging excercise.?

Im curious to see how the T compares to the Fiesta ST, as that has more power, and is a bit newer...
