Hi guys, I'm at abit of a crossroads with my cars at the mo! Insuring 9 cars all on separate policies is becoming abit of a pain in the arse! So I'm having a mid life crisis! [emoji23]

If I was to sell the Trophy, what kind of price do you think she's worth?

39,870 miles
Will have 12 months Mot
Will have all the belts done
2 keys
3rd owner (I think)
Sachs will be refurbished
New rear Sachs
New wishbones, bushes the works ! (Totaling £1000 alone in parts for the underside)
New oem top mounts
Ktec cat back
Original cup splitter (Tb fitted)
Front end has been re painted due to stone chips

Pretty much damn mint!

So, value? Keep her or sell? [emoji18]

If selling,,,,Ideve thought £10K+, going off recent sales....
Why not put them on a multi policy.??
Ive done that with 2 of my cars...Footman James do good deals..
Although the road tax is a pain, and can end being costly with so many cars....

No point keeping a car just for the sake of it, especially if it's more hassle than it's worth. If you get no enjoyment from driving (/storing) it then I'd say release it to the market and realise some of the capital to fund the other 8 insurance policies

As for value, stick it up for £10k and see how much interest there is at that price. What have you got to lose? Maybe even start at £12k, you'll soon get an idea for how much people are prepared to part with for your example.

With that many cars I'd be looking for more variation personally, don't see the point in having so many of the same thing. It's nice to be able to hop into a totally different car and driving experience with 2 cars but the potential opportunities with that many cars is making me jealous.

I'd get rid of the non-Trophy 182's, sell a V6 and that leaves a chunk of money for a couple of totally different things to mix it all up a bit.

Cheers, the v6's are staying put. Ph1 is mars red on 45k and ph2 is black gold nearing 30k, they are my babies, they have to stay! [emoji23]

The other cup is on just 17k so that too must stay! Will I regret selling the 182 Trophy? [emoji30]

I must admit Dawn, after seeing many of your posts over the later few years within the club pages, you certainly don't help yourself with you indecisive nature.
But that being said, if I had your collection I'd probably be exactly the same.

I found it hard enough a few years back when I had two Escort Cossies and a MK2 FRS, or at an earlier stage two Sierra 3dr cossies and an escort cossie.

I feel somewhat more tame now having a 197 Cup, two Trophys, and a couple of family wagons.

The things we do to ourselves, we love the cars but we don't help our mental states do we. :innocent:

You'll definitely miss the Trophy but it would fetch strong money. I reckon £10k could be on the low side. I'd be asking a fair bit more If you don't need to sell.

That is some collection Dawn!!

The thing to think about is that you'll probably never get a chance to buy another low mileage trophy again and it does complete the Renault sport line up.

It's amusing looking up the old comments on these. As the value has shifted.

277 advertised in 2013 1 owner and 28k... £6500 was regarded as ridiculously expensive at the time.

Not related at all to dawns car but what's more amusing is over on caps.net is doing it to adverts for the turbo conversation cars. "Runs mint". Click on the users posts and find months of mapping issues etc.
