Ash Tray Removal to Access Diagnostic Port

Thanks guys. You are correct, I have not tried this yet! Good old Renault eh. I have had German cars before and everything is bolted down with intricate bolts and fittings.

Hi folks Is this fairly straightforward? Any tips to reduce risk of breaking it?! Thanks.

Trophy No056 for sale *PRICE DROPPED*

Scott If you're giving it away for trade price, have you tried DS Cars in Lichfield (Staffordshire) or Steve at All Vehicles? If it's a decent car, I am sure either one of them would take it.

    Top Gear

Well I knew, but the point is, when you see it being produced, you are "told" when to laugh and whether the audience has laughed enough to satisfy the presenters' egos (including running the scene again with more laughter on my visit). Then there are things such as the fact that they tend to...

    Top Gear

Unfortunately, once you've seen it being produced, it will never be the same again. You learn just how contrived every joke, laugh, scene is and the fact that every race is fixed - it's all fiction. I know it's no longer a "magazine" program, more pure entertainment.

    Timing belt etc...

This is missing the point. Warranties (for what they are worth) are only any good after the event - no-one offering a warranty wants to pay out on them. How fun will it be when the engine is ruined, your confidence in the car destroyed, arguments about cause (when the customer may know little...

    5th march 2009 Clio trophy no.180 :(

I think "doing a Trophy 180" might become a well-used expression on this forum! Seriously though, I don't want to sound like a smart a**e but 110 mph on a country lane - didn't the grey matter kick in at any point; like, this is a bit too fast if I have to slow down suddenly?

    Sigh...where to begin

It's not exactly the worst ad I have ever seen! Those who are interested in this sort of car will either know it's nonsense or will be happy in the false assumption that it has 200+ bhp (whether it does or not). The thing I actually found funny about it was use of the smallest font to try and...

    Mud Flaps

Trophy 110 yours look nice. No idea where they are from though. I don't believe there are any genuine ones so these have been sourced/created from somewhere! Have you any idea where these are from?

    Mud Flaps

This may have been discussed in dribs and drabs before but I thought I would resurrect it. During the recent weather, I notice that the car seems caked in crap which I think is partly down to dirt/salt being kicked up by the tyres. Curiously, the rear hatch seems to always be the worst affected...

    Possible New Trophy/Cup owner...

Hi As a starter, just to save you from unrealistic expectations, it won't keep a modern "911" honest however well you drive it! I don't like the "supercar slayer" type tags as they are daft and misleading. What pretty much any hot Clio gives you is a step up from the boring bloated blunt...

    clio 182 cup for sale

You're selling in an open market. You therefore need to look at what you are up against i.e. what are similar age/mileage cars on for sale for and whether you honestly feel yours is better/worse and price accordingly. You could use Parkers used car price guide as a start (but be ready to be...

    Cash value for my trophy

Presumably most traders will open up their little black book which will not (sufficiently anyway) take account of a car's desirability, rarety etc. Have you tried Steve at allvehicles or DS Cars in Staffordshire? Both are Renaulsport specialists and will understand the market better. Based on...

garage to get cam belt done!!!

If you're in or around Birmingham, then BTM Performance (his name's Fred) is a no-brainer. I have had a fair bit of work done from him (he checked my cam timing, major service, various other bits) and believe me, he knows what he is doing. I am a fussy git as well. He was a race engineer (I...

    Fog Light

Hi folks There is a hairline crack in one of my front fog lights. I actually had to use them last week(!) and spotted it. Are these easy to change? Also, does anyone know what they cost and whether they just come as a sealed unit or can you just get the outer lens (probably not I assume)? Thanks.

    172 Cup to 182 Trophy

For all the wisdom being imparted on here, I suspect that our friend has probably made his (or her?) mind up. Just like we did - there's no going back! And good for them. I wonder if they have a blue 172 Cup with Turinis - I think they are lovely.

    172 Cup to 182 Trophy

This comment was made somewhat "tongue in cheek" (to substantiate the notion that "the grass is always greener ...", "next car will always be better (but not always)" etc.) and is the least important part of the post.

    172 Cup to 182 Trophy

Well said. 172 Cup to Trophy is hardly an upgrade (heavy Recaros and air con adding a bit of weight too). An upgrage for upgrade's sake I'd say. Wasn't the 172 Cup quicker than a Trophy around EVO's test track at the Bedford Autodrome? And EVO "love" the Trophy. Just get decent suspension...

    reseller Yozzasport

Just out if interest, what makes a BTB worth £650 before fitting as opposed to a Janspeed for £350? I thought there wasn't much power to be gained from an exhaust alone and a number of the other exhausts in the lower price bracket claim significant weight reductions too. So why a BTB, Yozza etc...

I know they are not necessarily reviews from Trophy owners but there are 7 reviews on the following site: http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Hanko ... 2-Z212.htm I get the impression that they are not really a "PE2 substitute" in the sense that they are not really an all-weather tyre and may be...

That's great, thanks Hoolio. I thought I would be able to resist doing the changeover but in reality, given our climate, I have had to given in, it's ridiculous the way it has been set up. Surely the intermittent setting should have been about 5 seconds apart at least. Did they not test drive...

    Wiper Stalk

I've finally relented and decided to fit the intemittent wiper stalk. I have a very good guide on how to fit it. However, it does not state exactly how to remove the upper steering wheel cowling/cover. There don't seem to be any screws holding it in. Does anyone know how to remove this? Thanks.
