I heard £995 for parts or £1395 fitted and mapped, although I might be making the last bit up.
Been following the RS2 keenly and it's been 'coming soon' for such a long time now. I hope it does happen, it's such a good product.
The belts thing doesn't feel right - either it's a typo in the ad or there's something pretty wrong.
Why we're the belts done at 30,000 miles but there's no stamp in the book at that mileage?
If they were done at 30k then you're right to assume that was 2010/11, in which case they are overdue...
Fantastic opportunity to bond with your son with a special car. You're doing it a great service, keep up the excellent work.
I'm intrigued though, did I miss the explanation for how it got like that in the first place?
I also fitted a set of Jon Foz lowering frames and personally I think the difference is significant, but that's coming from a fairly dire starting point. They're a fantastic mod but after 5 years ownership the change will be much more pronounced than a few weeks/months.
I think you might struggle to prove sold prices, but if a car is advertised for £6k it's unlikely to be sold with a 33% discount, that's ridiculous and surely the Ombudsman would agree that's unreasonable?
If you could also convey that these cars are highly sought after and 'prove' levels of...
The initial outlay is fairly significant but as said, the resale prices are strong and it's an easily reversible mod.
While the uplift in power/torque isn't huge, the way the car drives is altered in such a positive way and it's without compromise - no loss of air con or cruise control, no...
Just to add, there is a specific Facebook page set up for this product (RS2 Intake.co.uk) and there will be a group buy on the Clio Sport Owners Club Facebook group early in the new year.
There's plenty of info on the ClioSportOwnersClub Facebook group, which is where James has posted about car #444 although you might have to be quick, it seems to have generated a fair amount of interest!
Good luck
Xenons aren't standard so if they've been modified then what else has?
Not a very thorough advert in my opinion but that doesn't mean the car isn't an absolute belter.
Whether it's worth the trip will be dependent on how the seller comes across and what information he can share.
All the best.
It'll be all or nothing, if I ever get around to it:
Track rods
Track rod ends
Wishbones
Lower ball joints
ARB bushes
Steering rack bushes
General consensus from those that have done a refresh seems to be that it transforms the front end making everything tight again.
The JMS/Stone Automotive RS2 inlet manifold is a desirable mod and while there is talk of them being remade nothing has so far materialised. Second hand they seem to fetch £600+.
I've had mine fitted for 4 years and at the time had a decat and bonnet catch conversion and obviously it was...
Great effort - LY with factory Recaros and Sat Nav - that's a super-rare spec!
All through your posts all I was thinking was, "needs Turinis" then Andy comes up trumps. Another fine example, well done.
Hi Nik, not sure how 'new' this issue is but it's new to me ;)
The owners register when viewed via Tapatalk is no longer in number order but is instead sorted by the most recent post.
No major problem on its own but when you can't search for a three digit number it's a bit of a challenge...
Your next closest specialist might be Mick Pittman at Diamond Motors in Long Eaton near Nottingham.
I can't think of anyone else closer, but Birchdown are a good shout.
