anyway, its not very nice... but it will probably sell for 1-2k less that it should, and it wont cost that much to put it right again

What I reckon it will take/cost to put right:

Respray bump strips £50-60
Respray rear bumper strip £25-30
New Grill unless paint stripper will remove the nastiness without harming the plastic...
Lower grill unless paint stripper will remove the nastiness without harming the plastic...
Spotlights surround unless paint stripper will remove the nastiness without harming the plastic...
New light clusters £60

God only knows whats gone on inside...

Still unnecessary expense!

I think wests Renault of Cambridge are to blame they have a 225 the same and a new Clio + there was an inferno in there about 4 months ago the same .
