wiper stalk mod problems

I tried changing the standard stalk 2 years ago but it didnt work (thought it was the new stalk) finally bought another stalk and fitted this morning, still doesnt work! i'm guessing that my trophy has slightly different wiring to all of the other Trophys.

anyone else had problems with the intermittant stalk?

BTW - Trophy 450 alive and well, just hit 21K.

Doesn't work ful stop? Or some of the functions don't work. The main connections are the same with some extra terminals for the extex functions. The wiring looms across the 182 will all be the same so thee is no reason for this. What is the part number of the unit you are dutyinh?

rear washer and wipe work, front washer and computer work.

on intermittant = nothing
on '1' wiper works when stalk intermittant speed on slowest setting.
on '2' wiper works but on slow wipe (ie setting '1' on standard stalk).

this happens on both intermittant stalks that i have bought, from different ppl and 2 years apart.

Sorry about the spelling, my phone. It sounds like the extra terminals are not doing their job, its a long time since I did mine but I'd be looking at the teminal block that you plug into the stalk. Make sure you turn ignition off before fiddling or you may blow fuses.
