I've got a holdall in the boot of my car which I keep it in, along with spare water, maps, sleeping bag, clothes, basic tools etc.

It means I'm always prepared if I go round to my mates and end up pissed - a lot of effort just to stop the tyre foam rattling though!

^^^ As per Nik. There is a designated space under the passenger's seat that fits the punture kit and locking nuts nicely.

Er...glove box. How creative. Might move it to under the passenger seat now so I can use the glove box for the stowage of...gloves?

As per Nik. Loads of space to store it under seats.
Only a last ditch option - especially on new tyres, though :!:

I put an elastic band around it and the jack which is held by the Velcro strap .
