Treated 415 to a full detail and valet from Autowash Detailing (http://www.detailing-specialists.co.uk) last Friday. Really pleased with the finished job (had the WRX done too, and the guy managed to regenerate my oxidising boot spoiler). Then of course it went and snowed. Have not driven the Trophy since in the hope that the roads will dry out at some point, leaving my wax finish intact for a little while longer!

Looks well (pre snow!)

Mine is an absolute state at the moment, i think a permaguarding is in order once the weather gets better

Hmm will have to look into all the options. What exactly he did say about it?

My dad's Mercedes has been Supaguarded and that really looks the part even after just a quick wash, and permaguard is generally rated better than Supaguard

He said that it was rather on the expensive side, and the various shampoos and polish that were then required after the treatment were also pricey. However, if you have experience with it then you know what to expect

Ah thats cool, was just worried he might have said the products they use may be damaging for the paintwork or something like that!

I imagine he's confused it with supagaurd... you get a free kit with PG that lasts for ages - my origional one from 3 years ago is still going strong.

£100 or there about isn't pricey compared to a full on detailler either. Having said that the london crew haven't been as highly spoken about as say stockport.

What is required maintainance-wise to keep the permagard coating in top order? I was under the impression once it was done it was semi-permanant apart from a bi-annual 'top-up'.

The T looks good spitfire! How was the service from autowash??
I will get something similar done to mine when funds allow, but im wondering whether the PG would suit me more considering i live on a muddy farm. :(

Thanks Tractor. The Autowash chappie spent about four hours on the car giving it the full treatment both inside and out. Cost me £400 for both cars all up, which I thought was reasonable seeing that he was here from 0800 hrs through to 1500 hrs - they looked stunning when he had finished. Still reluctant to drive 415 until the weather improves, as there was more ice on the roads around Sevenoaks this morning after light snow last night. Even the WRX has not enjoyed the sheet ice this past week – we almost got intimate with a passing Volvo estate on a hill at the bottom of our road on Wednesday!

annual top-up, just regular cleaning with a drop or two of their polymer cleaner
