Much to my joy, I have discovered a slow leak in my rear tyre (thanks to a rivet that is stuck in it).

Do you guys think it is safe to patch the tyre or do I have to buy a new one? It's a little frustrating as it has quite a bit of tread left :(

Cheers

I'm not sure what I'd do to be honest.

On the one hand a proper repair should be up to the job, otherwise they would be banned but on the other I'm not sure how much I'd trust a repaired performance tyre - after all they are your only contact to the road.

I guess I'd way up the type of driving I do and make a decision based on that, although if I was planning to do track days I would certainly replace rather than repair.

Faze - was having the same train of thought. I mainly drive on the motorway so I am thinking a repair will do until I run the tread down a little bit more...

At leas the tyre wasn't brand new... that would be heart breaking :(
