I am sure everyone is aware that the speakers in the Trophy are not the best.

i've got infinity kappa's up front and infinity references in the back. in all honesty i wouldn't bother replacing the back ones, they don't give out a lot of sound!!

there are quite a few threads on speakers though, i spent ages trawling through them. might be worth doing a quick search. it also depends what sort of music and sound quality you are after! :D

I was looking at the Infinity references for the back. It's just that one or my rear speakers crackles a fair bit and that can get quite annoying at times.

Not really looking to change the fronts as i know the tweeters arnt the easiest to replace in clios from past experiences...

Don't bother with the rears. In fact disconnect them and just buy really, really good front speakers (e.g. Focal Polykevlar K2s), then amplify them. Add a small sub and Bob's your uncle.

Gareth will testify that this works quite well :)

I opted for Infinity Kappas up front and Infinity Reference 6" x 9"s on a stealth shelf. The rear mountings for the OE speakers are atrocious so whatever you put in there just rattles around...

Sounds like a great set up Oliie and an excellent choice for speakers.

I have been thinking about adding an amp but have come to a conclusion and have decided not to. I had an amp and sub in my old, it was great but i just feel it will defeat the object of weight reduction.
