Some advice needed...

As you will see from photos somehow, don't ask me how I have no idea, there are some splats of white gloss paint on one of my wheels. Noticed it this morning as I was about to leave for work and was not happy.

I instinctively tried to wipe it off, only to find it is still a bit sticky. So has anyone got any advice on how to get this off? Do I leave it to dry and then hopefully it will rub off with soft cloth? Do I need to use something on the wheel (polish, cleaner? - I am afraid of this! I don't want to make it worse, but is leaving it to dry a good or bad idea?

Any help much appreciated. :?:

N.B. I know the wheels are not that clean at the moment, I did clean them yesterday before going out though it rained!

Will white spirit be okay then 'cause that was my first thought but I was worried it might take off lacquer or something?

Managed to get this off now with a little bit of white spirit and a bit of elbow grease, no aftershave though. Thanks for the advise Steve
