I have just been informed by the old bill that my exhaust is to loud
And causing anti social behaviour and been threatened with a section 59 on me and the car.
I no my car is loud but ent that loud
Just woundering if any one nos the legal level of noise
I have read up on lots of things by wat i can work out it sone where between
95 and 102 db at 3/4 revs at a 45 degree angle from the exhaust
is this right?

There is no published noise levels for cars, only bikes.

But as per part of the MOT test it states a car should sound no louder than OEM & it's at the discrection of the tester if a car passes or fails. It will be probably using those regulations on your car, or upholding noise complaints from local people/neighbours.

Out of interest... what system do you have? Were you driving it hard through a built up area for them to take notice?

I have got a yozza complete system with decat and i was doing about 10 mph at about 1200 revs it was in the middle of the town i live in but there speed bump
everywhere so you could never get speed even if you wanted to lol

Don't worry about it just ignore them. I was pulled over once and warned and I haven't done a thing about it. It's ridiculous with the state of this country that they see fit to have a go at someone for their exhaust (when no speeding is even involved). IMO of course.

Yer there just getting stupid
The old bill have never liked are lot
Were a small town but with alot of people cars into and people come
from outer town just to come here and be with other like them selve
But we been doing it for years and we have never caused no harm so whys it a problem now!
