Is it true that you need a Certificate from your dealer for brakes for your mot???

You take your car for an MOT it either passes or fails!

Are you thinking about the rear brakes on the older 172 cup ? They had an issue that VOSA issued a circulation to test centres about. It was something that in any other circumstances would cause them to fail. Only problem was half the garages didn't know about it so people in the know took the circulation with them to inform the garage.

yeh i think your thinking of the 172's, they has a funny rear braking system which would show up as fails on MOT's even though they were working fine... I don't think this carried onto to the 182's though.... you should be fine.
