Depends on you mileage if the stealers will cover them.
Probably best sending them off to be repaired if renault wont replace or repair them.
They are expensive but not sure on the exact price.
How many miles has your car done??
Pat, bad luck , right your first port of call is your local stealer or the dealer your purchased it off(if it's a reno garage) see what they say. If you're lucky, it seems to be pot luck, replace it, it may depend on the mileage. BenG got one of his replaced recently.
If you hit a brick wall with Renault and i'll give you the number of a guy that will Refurbish it.
Do you have any pictures of the leaky damper you can post up?
my trophy has 36k on
i have cleaned it off for minute as im going down to alton towers for weekend so al
check it when i get back so i can see exactly if it is the shocker
it just seems like its weeping right on the bottom.
thanx for the posts.
? I don't think there is anywhere on the bottom that it can leak from. The main two places are from the seals where the damping rod(?) enters the main body of the damper and around the top of the remote reservoir where the adjustment dial is located.
Bad luck mate. I was well gutted when i found out my damper packed in (expensive to replace) yes there is some sort of valve at the bottom of the resevoir, my guess is its where the oil and/or gas is put in??looks like you will have to get it refurbished if all else fails at the dealers.
The racecardoctor will have them rebuilt + reset geometry for £500
Not got their details here, they are the company that always did them for Donkey (R.C.D.)
Maybe i'll get Cue to Make them a sticky, i did pm him the details i'll get them here tomorrow.
so if they are gas filled
could the oil be a bit of a lubricant and its just weeped past a seal?
been on to stealers and booked in next week to get it looked at.
see if they can fob me off?
