hi
Ive just put my Alpine IVA-D310RB screen headunit in my Trophy and set all the system up ie Bass & Treble, the problem is it sounds Terrible inside the car.

The standard speakers in the car are rubbish and cant handle the power from my Audiobahn 4ch 100w amp.
Ive also installed a DLS A6 amp in the boot running at 1 ohm which is sopost to put 1200w out which is running 2 x 1200V Audiobahn subs that have an RMS of 750w each.
All i can hear is just an Earthquake coming from the boot from the DLS and Audiobahn Subs.
Has anyone got any 13cm speakers for inside im really after INFINITY's or DLS or RAINBOW something decent that can handle my 4 ch 100w amp.
The speakers dont have to be rated near this as you can adjust the amp to suit the speakers installed.
Its just im a bit skint and dont really have money to go and buy speakers of £80-200 in value at the moment, I also need 2 sets also.

Cheers Paul

If you can I'd stretch to Focal K2 Polykevlars - but they are quality, not SPL, orientated.

Budget £400 for these.

both of them are reasonable enough IMO for a cheaper set to tide you over

This is a friend of mine's company, posted the details a while back, if you mention the forum you may get a discount but margins are slim.

Yes, he used to work in our audio dept. Glad you got a discount, i think they have some kind of arrangement with CS? Good mid-range stuff.

try on there for some - reckon you might get some better speakers than your local Halfrauds will do for you. delivery is quick too

Well Done Gareth, I was so disgusted with the fact I promoted that place I deleted my post! I'm going to get me a pair of Infinity ones me thinks, I don't need a mobile disco but I do appreciate a bit of quality and the standard speakers are worse than dreadful, crackle at anything more than 12 on the volume.

I've got Infinity Kappa's up the front.... Reference's were in the back but i'm now fitting a stealth shelf.... both offer enough of a noticeable sound improvement over standard offerings though :D
