Thought as much. My car was advertised as 53 but having picked it up today and got it home for a clean, looked at the seat plaque for the first time... 82 Just have to assume the seller recalled it incorrectly!! Ballsed up the register now though... Best get deleting and re-entering!
Tony i would go with what it says on the seat as I can't see someone taking out one Trophy seat to put in another unless there was a very big issue and the seat was totally wrecked.
Take note of what you have got and keep it and possibly buy something along these lines -

Love those! Will definitely sort that out.
You could get them in Red, Black & Silver and i have 2 of each and with my Invoices at the garage i get the number put on it to prove that my Reg is my Trophy number.
Ouch.. Hope it all works out in the end. Although it's very odd to get the numbers that wrong I would guess? From reading I belive there was issues with cars as being advertised as 1 digit away in a clear attempt to hide history. Rem that you can also check what the owners may have chatted about in other none owner register threads. I never did a thread for my 182 on the cs forum but it's easy to see it needed new injectors, which I did. And I came very close to supercharging it, until the 120 came along.

There was some confusion with the register a while back regarding Trophy plaque numbers. It was to do with the seats from a written off Trophy being fitted. Surely Renault must have made a record against the VIN number of each car otherwise there is no control or proof of what number it is.
Our register is fairly complete and at least most can be traced back to someone on here.

I have spoken to a number of people at RUK and someone in Dieppe France and i can 110% confirm RUK have no way of tracking what the 500 Trophys are and the chassis numbers are all over the place also to no way of finding out what the number actually is or was.
The seat badges are also not made or produced and its something that you can not get
