Evening all,

I really like these design/blueprint drawings but have never found one that floats my boat. I contacted Engineered Art to see if they would do a group buy and they had a really positive response.

They already have a Clio Trophy design on file and have replicated the build plaque in the bottom left corner, this will be customised with the build number. If the group buy goes ahead, it'll be updated to their latest standards with full interior detailing. In terms of price, their A3 plaques are usually £199, based on 10+ orders they could offer these at £139 (inc VAT, delivery and basic personalisation being VIN, number plate and build number.).

They don’t normally offer them, but in case the A3 version is too expensive, they can offer a smaller A4 version. Based on 20+ orders I could do these at £79.

This is the image they sent me. If you guys are in, so am I!

To be fair it was us that asked for modifications. Looking back there used to be a large disclaimer on the print which for me and a few others put us off. Not sure it’s still there. As te far side of above is blurred.

why comment then? To let us all know you don't like the 'art'? This is an option to see if others are interested. No ones being forced. If you buy one of these you can still drive your car....

Coldy.
Chill mate.
I was just making a comment... I realise im not being forced or co-ersed into buying one..
Its a public open forum , and we can comment on whatever we want to,,,within reason,,, cant we...?
I do actually like the "art". Just not at that price... Now if the A3 version was say £50 ide have one... But I suspect that's highly unlikely to happen...
Sorry you took it the wrong way...It wasn't meant to be negative...

I bought one of these a while back. I really like mine, it’s in A3 size and is slightly different to the one pictured by Coldy, the only difference is the location of the numbered plaque, it’s located at the top right on mine. It has my number plate, VIN and Trophy number on.

If they are going to make the diamond badge on the front and rear 2 tone, then the lighter white section always goes on the top not the bottom as shown here.

Hi guys Dan here from Black Art Graphics, just wanted to chime in to clear up a few things!

First off, we have never had any copyright issues with Renault. We did used to include a disclaimer in the title block (this is original art, not endorsed by Renault blah blah blah) however we learned from our solicitor that it wouldn’t actually help in any way at all IF a manufacturer took objection to what we were doing, so it has been removed.

Each one of these is customised, and each person gets a proof copy prior to manufacture. The design as shown in the pictures is pretty much unchanged from the last group buy save for changing the layout slightly to match our newer designs. The technical specification was reviewed by ten or so members of this forum so I was confident it was correct, but I am happy to update anything that is required though.

In terms of cost, I did the last group buy at about £65 I believe, but since then this has gone from a hobby to a full time business with much larger overheads. We now produce merchandise for McLaren, Aston Martin and Porsche, and as such the quality and workmanship has also increased massively, to the point that £50 wouldn’t even cover the raw materials now!

It’s not for everyone, I appreciate that. But we’ve never had a complaint that it was too expensive from anyone that’s received one. We did a group buy last month for the Mk1 Focus RS and those guys loved it, check out the reviews here: https://www.blackartgraphics.com/collections/ford/products/focus-rs-mk1

I think they're great. Its a shame we can't seem to get a group buy going.

We can sort the details! People are getting hung up on minor details, totally ignoring the fact that it is made to order, and you get a proof copy to review prior to manufacture.

Group buy doesn't look likely now, but if anyone does want one, drop me a message via the website and I can sort out a bit of a discount on the existing design.
