Decat Overrun

Just noticed fastchip offer a Decat overrun calibration for 29euros. Just wondering if anyone has any info on it, will it have any performance increases over the standard 98ron cal upgrade they offer for 10euros? Or is it just a bit pointless?

No power upgrade, purely 'pop & bangs' on the overrun (only above 4k rpm).

Its the JMS Pops & Bangs map basically.

Doesn't this, in effect just pour unburnt fuel into the exhaust? Which apart from being a waste will also degrade a cat, if it's there.

Yes it does, but only small amounts and only over 4k revs. You can drive 'normally' and it'll be the same as before.

I garuantee you will be fed up with it very quickly.

Your MPG will go down. It stops the fuel cut off when you back off the throttle at higher rpms, so don't complain about that!
