Bought new and only had 5 months use. Plugs in to the CD changer input of the standard Renault stereo, charges the iPod and allows you to skip tracks on the headunit. I ran the cable to the iPod in the glove box, which kept it looking nice and neat and meant the iPod wasn't on show.
