As posted before i'm about to buy a Trophy and have been trying to look ahead a year or two and see what the Trophy is likely to be worth and how the introduction of the 197 Cup or Trophy might affect its values. In the end i've ended up with more questions than answers and simply havent been...
Pic I took at Brands back in August. The guys at the garage didn't really know what was going on. Tis me, OliS, Stuart and Nigel if I remember correctly. Plus Benny223 was round the corner somewhere me thinks after the morning fluid issues.
So I was chatting with Bernard Olivier the CEO of Renault Sport at the weekend (as one does  ) and he brought up the subject of the Trophy dampers.
Apart from talking about how good they are he mentioned that the one negative is the need for them to be replaced / rebuilt more often...
I'm sure this has been discussed at length before, but how do these two compare? Obviously I could search old posts, but...
I know some people here have owned both, and I'd be interested to know their thoughts.
I'm not going to buy one - I specifically looked for four seat car when I...
OK... not as difficult as the Atomium in Belgium (as previously posted) but thought I would share this with all of you...
Took the tour of the factory and must say it is quite fascinating... definately worth checking out if you're ever in Munich.
O.
.First i'll do a spot; if anyone saw a broken trophy being dragged along the A34 by a AA van this morning, That was me. I know it was me because i was the grumpy one sitting in the passenger seat of the van.
I don't think anybody has mentioned this problem on the forum, basically not long after...
Hi folks,
rory182 from cliosport here again, following the success of my justmatz.co.uk and blueflame exhaust group buys I'm organising a tyre group buy.
The PE2 tyre as fitted standard on 182 and 182 Trophy is excellent in my opinion and so I'm trying to save a little money when it comes...
Looking for a nice tax disc holder for my trophy, would like to get the red richbrook one with 'renaultsport' engraved (Loads on ebay) however i'm under the impression that it looks a bit pinkish due to the nature of the metal?
Anyone got one who could tell me if Is this the case? I'm a bit...
spotted today in newcastle city center...yes it really is a pastel pink colour with silver incerts and dubious home made tinted rear lights..a guy was driving it as well !!
sorry no front shots as i was hiding around the corner when i took this....i'm still smiling now...all being said it look...
Hi all
Have installed my new DAB head unit and have wired it to the existing Trophy FM aerial. Unfortunately it misses out on a few stations so I have to buy a window mount aerial to get the other stations (the type which has a piece inside the car and then another aerial stuck on the outside...
Taking over from Pete G's post in the number plate thread, how does everyone use their ESP? (no responses about extra sensory perception please! )
Day to day driving, I just leave it on, you never know when you may need it's assitance (oil on the roads etc).
When I'm driving hard...

I had my first four wheel skid in the Trophy tonight, entered a quite tight (70 degree) corner at 50 mph, a corner I knew well with the 205, and one not to be messed with in the wet, and the bastards had put grit down on the road, the car slid nicely sideways a little bit and I was just flicking...
Finally, after what seems years of change after change, the AWT website is now live.
Its not finished and there is alot still to put up, but that will be added as things move along.
A massive thanks to Craig who put in more time, effort and design though into this than was really...
Just how fast can you corner with these things? I think i'm having to re-learn my entry speeds into corners. I entered a roundabout today with no drop in my approach speed and flung it out the same road I came in with nothing more than a bit of squeaking from the tyres. It really is quite...
I have been told by a pal to drop my pressures to 20psi all round, will this improove traction, im running crappy tyre and are not bothered by wear rates.......is this reccomened??
Hi guys.
I currently own a 320bhp 1600cc Escort RS Turbo. It is a truly awesome car in very many ways, but I am considering moving on. It is so difficult as that car gives me SUCH a buzz to drive.
Problem is, it's starting to show its age and is getting to the point where I may have to...
So Oliie's post about trackday rims and tyres got me thinking that I should probably do the same thing and get a set of trackday tyres to stop me killing a set of road tyres every other trackday. The tyres that I have read the most about on this forum are the Kumho V70A's, and I just want to see...
I have discovered that the Trophy is seriously unbalanced with the addition of weight at the rear. Specifically, fourteen bottles of wine and six of olive oil, plus lots of heavy luggage, on the 110mph sweepers of the Italian Autostrada.
So much so that I stopped several times to crawl under...
This a bit a long post, apologies but hopefully of interest to more than just me :)
So I read all of http://cliotrophy.co.uk/forum/viewtopic ... 74&start=0
