After 7 years of ownership I’m very sad to be putting Trophy number 353 up for sale.
It has a full service history, including invoices and old MOTs confirming its 84,000 miles. This includes a £1K cam belt service, aux belt, dephaser, oil pump and alternator done by Mike at RenTech on 28th Jan...
I bought the RS192 recently and it's pretty good. Not silly loud or boomy on the motorway. The exhaust note is a lot deeper than before without being shouty. The quality control on my system wasn't 100% in that the tailpipes only just cleared the rear bumper and were unequal lengths. I'm going...
Alternatively go to Track Tek in Earls Barton (roughly an hour from Leicester) who can swap your Sachs for my set of Cups whilst yours are sent off for refurb. Drive in with a set of knackered Sachs, drive out with some temporary Cups, then head back a week or so later for your refurbed Sachs...
I'll hook out the invoice and let you know on cost - I paid extra for powder coating cos I'm a tart :-)
Also, don't think twice about getting them done. Sooo much better than knackered old Sachs or new Cups (although new cups are better than shot Sachs!)
Not a problem at all, I was looking for a drive in and drive out service and couldn't find one, so happy to help out other club members :-)
Nick at Track Tek built and supported my slightly bonkers Nissan 200SX that we ran in the Nippon Challenge for the past 3 years. We've used Simon at CF to...
Thought I'd post this here as it may be handy for anyone considering a refurb:
Just got my Trophy back after a whole heap of maintenance work and I have to say Wow! I can't believe how much the car is transformed! She went in for a service, new discs and pads, refurbed front shocks from...
Just got my Trophy back after a whole heap of maintenance work and I have to say Wow! I can't believe how much the car is transformed! She went in for a service, new discs and pads, refurbed front shocks from Cornering Force, new front springs and new front top mounts. I had the rear shocks...
I recently had to replace the discs on my Trophy and wanted to go for some Brembo Max. After much searching with no luck, one of their regular stockists claimed that Brembo have withdrawn from the UK after market. Since then another stockist has claimed the same, has anyone else heard similar?
Evening, hoping someone can shed some light on an odd charging problem my Trophy's sprung upon me. I had a new alternator fitted a couple of months back and all was well until a couple of weeks ago. The car runs fine but after about an hour's continuous running if you turn the car off the...
AST are great equipment, we run them on a couple of race cars (not Clios) BUT the service is simply atrocious. Parts never turn up when they are promised and it's almost impossible to get hold of anyone in service. We're seriously considering moving to Avo or Ohlins despite all the additional...
Re: Clio Trophy 333 (Low Mileage, Standard car) For Sale
No dig at French cars intended! It's just my usual reason for searching out an owners club forum in the first instance is when I'm buying a car or when something's fallen off or broken :-)
Now you've got me worried I'm a socially...
Re: Clio Trophy 333 (Low Mileage, Standard car) For Sale
Yeah tell me about it! Just getting into the whole Frenchie front tugger thing again and had to pull the plug :(
In all seriousness, it's a testament to the fact nothing's gone wrong with the car that this is the first time I've sought...
Re: Clio Trophy 333 (Low Mileage, Standard car) For Sale
Thanks :)
If I can persuade my other half that she'd much rather drive one of the best handling front wheel drive cars of all time rather than an automatic 1.6L Mazda 3, this sale may just disappear.
In this life it really does take...
It is with much regret that I come to sell my Clio Trophy. I have run out of space and my girlfriend has run out of patience with not being able to park near the house!
Clio Trophy 333 is for sale:
- 39,400 miles
- Full Renault Service History
- Cambelt Service + New brake pads all round +...
