Hi all
I've just gone through the pain of swapping the gearbox on my Trophy.
The thing now won't start.
It cranks for a few seconds on most tries of the key (sometimes you get nothing, but most times you get a few seconds) but never fires.
It ran fine before the work started. The work has...
1. 50/50, Laurent : 1 Set of rear dampers
2. Paul Morris - x1 or 2 sets
3. Andy James (AJRACER)
4. Greg Evans (Greva)
5. Ben Gundry (BenG)
6. Andy E (SharkyUK) - x1 set
7. Andy H (evilandy)
8. Dave W [Big Dave]
9. Jack E [wackojacko]
10. Michaelfoz
11. Gareth K (Chipper)
12. mhj360 (Matthew...
Anyone got reasoning as to why such a massive jump from Sept to Oct and Oct to Nov?
I'm happy about it as an owner, but suspicious of it too... bubble? Flash in the pan?
Hi all
I made a bit of a nasty discovery on the Trophy this weekend and was wondering if anyone else seen similar.
The monocoque where the outer rear seat mount for the driver's seat locates has fatigued and failed. (confusing sentence that one!)
I noticed that the driver's seat was slightly on...
I've just replaced the fronts on mine and have a spare set for sale now.
They came off the car at 120k, but they have definitely been refurbed in the past. They are de-pinned and the rods look brand new. Definitely need another refurb before being fitted, but they'll be up for sale on this site...
I have one too, but couldn't get it to work!
It drained my battery if I left it connected.
Would be interested to know what wires you cut on the adaptor
Also depends on the headunit.
This is getting silly now...
So I have the correct circlip.
I have all the correct bushes and spacers.
I have retrieved the bump stops and dust covers from the originals.
I try to assemble as per the instruction sheet...
The dust cover simply will not go over the circlip as the sheet...
So massive thanks to Mark for supplying the missing bush!
Fitted them, but something is definitely askew! Drivers side seated, tightened and all looks good.
Passenger side... well... see attached.
Been scratching my head trying to figure out what on earth went wrong. Remove, refitted, checked...
Hi all
I was wondering if anyone had any tips on de-pinning the sachs dampers DIY style? From what I can see there is a grub screw holding the adjuster knob in place, and a pin drilled in to the top.
So... remove the grub screw, remove the adjuster, remove the pin, put it back together again...
Hi all
I've come to swapping out some rear discs and pads, and can't get the new disc to seat enough to bolt the carrier back on.
The pads are hard up against the OUTSIDE of the disc with space between the inside pad and piston (wound all the way back).
The issue seems to be a split...
Hi all
My Trophy came with a spare pair of Koni rear dampers which are obviously used, but seem in fair enough condition.
I want to go about fitting them in the next week or so, but have realised that they are slightly different to eachother and wanted to get the group's thoughts on how to move...
