    Sports Cat

Mike Edwards / Edwards Racing - I think they're up the M3, possibly even inside the M25, but it's one option. Otherwise, ask Mike at Rentech. No doubt he'll know someone decent.

    Clio Trophy Supercharged 29,500 miles

£60? Ouch! Have you tried the Clio Sport Owners Club on Facebook (free) or ClioSport.net (also free) or Pistonheads classifieds?

    New Owner - help needed!!!

Sold as seen. Oh well, live and learn. Keep your eyes peeled on the various clio forums, facebook, eBay etc and I'm sure some will come up sooner or later. Or take this as a blessing in disguise and fit and enjoy some coilovers like Bilstein B14s, for example. It's not all about the Sachs...

Michelin PS3. Best place to buy?

Are you not tempted to give RSRs or NS-2Rs or AD08Rs or even something as extreme as R888s a try?

    FRONT SPRINGS: part numbers.

Personally I'm tempted by Pure Motorsport solid top mounts and brace, but not tempted enough to make a hole in the car... yet. Only a matter of time. Ktec's mail order side of the business is supposedly very good, never heard a bad thing said, other than some items might be available at a...

    FRONT SPRINGS: part numbers.

If it was me and I was obsessed with keeping it original I'd buy a set of Renault springs for the loft, and fit some Eibach Sportlines, because they make for a more compliant ride IMO. I'd also 'do a Tommo' and do the full front end, budget-dependent, of course. I'd go OEM top mounts, plus you...

    Greed

For your car you're probably better off sourcing multiple sets of jacks/axle stands ;)

    Possible Trophy sale

When were the belts changed (date and mileage) and have the Sachs ever been refurbished or are they working perfectly and always have?

    JMS redux

He was a no-show. Out of 8 cars that did make it, 3 were capsicum red.

    JMS redux

I'd speak to Mike (Woodford) - he has been Stone Automotive's mapper of choice for quite a few years and has extensive knowledge of the RS2. He also worked with Chip and Dan to get Dan's RS2 with 197 cams over the 200bhp barrier. That is if you can get hold of him ;) If you can I'm sure he'll...

    Rear Speaker Wires

There is a school of thought that rear speakers are for the benefit of rear passengers. For maximum driver enjoyment you should focus on front (component) speakers, an amp and a sub and ignore rears. Don't know how true it is but it certainly works for me.

    Sach rebuilds advice needed please

Please, can nobody else post in this thread. As has been said, let's try and keep all discussions in a single place, which will help future searches rather than returning a multitude of near-identical threads. I wonder if this thread can be deleted and the posts transferred to THE Sachs...

    So, the best Springs?

In my experience the very best option for a daily is Eibach Sportlines. They're much more forgiving than original springs and/or Cooksports. Not enough lowz though ;)

    So, the best Springs?

Personally I think Mark Fish springs look superb, but I've not tried them. Sportlines are the best performing spring I've used, but I was happy to make some (very minor) compromise and currently use Cooksports.

    W. London/Michael Woodford motorsport

Mike now works for South West Trains so he's no longer a full-time specialist, but mine was with him a few weeks back for the 15th+ time in 4 years (out of choice rather than necessity). His number is 07985 266 042. Give him a call, he's one of the good guys. He operates from the Staines area.

Trophy or 182 cup?? Talk to me

I definitely wouldn't limit myself to looking at just a 182 Cup, I'd also consider a regular 182 with both Cup packs specced from the factory. At the end of the day if you really want a Trophy and you settle for a regular 182 it'll be a great introduction into Renaultsport ownership, but you...

Turns out sachs aren't the only things that come in yellow

Yellow wing mirrors next? ;) I quite like it, and a yellow RARB would look class. Looking forward to seeing some pictures of the strut brace fitted.

    To Brembo or not

At the end of the day there is an opinion that four pots on an N/A 1*2 are overkill. Personally, if I had the money I probably would, but it does go against keeping the car standard. If a buyer wants a standard car and an identical one to yours is up for sale but without the 'upgraded' brakes...

Remaining Trophy numbers on 'How Many Left'

On top of those figures there are at least a handful that have made their way to continental Europe, plus a few track-only Trophys. It's an interesting ballpark figure though.

Small crack in bolster - Recaro

It just seems to be expense after expense with these cars! Maybe those people who buy them then don't drive them at all are onto a winner... except you have to buy another car to actually drive, and enjoy! Good luck getting it all sorted.

Thinking of selling this summer - a few questions!

Hmmm. In that case I wonder if it's worth taking a hit on the sale price and leave it to the new buyer to select a specialist of their choosing. It would be much better if they were done but better done by a specialist than a generic local garage, in my opinion. Good luck, whichever way you...
