Small crack in bolster - Recaro

My drivers side recaro has a couple very fine cracks in the bolster on the drivers seat base.

Any idea the best way to get this sorted or am I looking at a full retrim job?

You should be able to get a smart repair done on it. But if not you can just get that part retrimmed and not the whole seat

Hard to snap in a pic, loathed to get a smart repair as it will just fail again or part of the seat replaced as it won't match.

Got some great quotes from TrimDeluxe in Littlehampton to replace all the leather and alacantara for £300 a seat which includes getting the Recaro logos embroidered on rather than printed so I may just go with that, not until June so time to save up!!

Just wondering if there is a Recaro specialist/agent local to you, perhaps could be worth a call?

Not that I've managed to find, hard to get bits for as the aftermarket recaros seem to be different to Renault spec ones! The price for one base from Renault is nearly as much as getting both retrimmed

It just seems to be expense after expense with these cars! Maybe those people who buy them then don't drive them at all are onto a winner... except you have to buy another car to actually drive, and enjoy!

Aye, not to worry, they'll most likely be worth a fair whack more than the cost of the refurb when done so it's not too much of an issue! Although my mileage is on the wrong side of 100k now, I plan on keeping the car indefinitely and eventually just using it for track days / fun outings etc, just need to find a worthy daily as a replacement as the mk2 escort won't be an suitable option either!!
