I have a lovely Trophy that is SORN'd and garaged which, unfortunately, I am struggling to justify keeping. My other car is a 300bhp Impreza Turbo and I just can't see me going back to regularly using the Trophy at any point. I could also do with releasing the funds to run the Scoob! Spec of Trophy is:
-48k miles
-lovely condition (not seen a winter in my 5 year ownership)
-Front Sachs refurbed at 42k in 2012.
-Eibach Sportlines fitted c.4k ago
-Koni Yellow Adjustable rear shocks fitted 1.5k ago along with full geo check
-Brembo HC discs and Ferodo DS2500 pads on front and OE spec rear discs/pads fitted 6k ago
-Front tyres are PS3s with around 7k miles on them
-Rear tyres are PE2s which are nearing the legal limit IIRC
-Oil changed every year in my ownership
Bad points:
-exhaust hanger is broken and system is hanging off at an angle
-Will need a big timing belt etc service this year
-Front NS alloy has one small kerb mark
My questions:
-Is it worth buying a new exhaust and getting the service done or should I just bodge an exhaust repair and (honestly) sell as-is?
-What is the general consensus on where the market is/where it's going for low mileage Trophys in good condition?
-Is £5.5-6k feasible with the above work done? £4.5-5k without maybe?
Input would be much appreciated, thanks!
