Yes i've got "Trophy sellers remorse" right now, i let the wife put the money into the mortgage with the promise of a new M3 when its paid off in 3 years :D - i just felt it was the right time to sell and i'm sure Elliot is a worthy next owner, the effort this guy went to assured me of this...
well theres still that tosser with YY55 in Gosforth, and i heard there were a couple in westerhope, theres another guy i know with one out in Ponteland but hes only on RS - dont worry you're not the "only Trophy in the village" :D
Yes the dampers had just been done, and with only 22.5k on the clock it was still a very fine example. I still have the R27 though.
Sad to see the Trophy go.... but as George Harrison once said "all things must pass".
you can now remove my 3rd star :(
Just had a look at a Trophy for sale at the Arnold Clarke Ford main dealer on Scotswood Rd - Newcastle Upon Tyne.
its up for £7500 with 40k on the clock - Reg SM55 FUV - aparently came from a scottish dealer
Described as "mint" by the clueless salesman when i went in... however it was'nt.

This post really Pi55ed me off !
firstly i dont see how your comments can possibly contribute anything to a post from a guy selling his car.

i was going to post a video on YT when my shocks went so you could see how much movement there was at the front end but i never got round to it...
check dampers mate...warranty won't cover these, last owner could have traded it in - rather than get them rebuilt. if you get the number you could check in the register to see if the last owner is on here...that's kinda what it's for.
and the "bonnet catch" manual "incert" page that Renault sent out to customers a few years ago after they finally acepted the issue.
wonder how many other people got one of these in the post?
yeah that's pretty sweet and thicker too...i wish the standard trophy steering wheel was a little thicker, after driving the R27 for a while now it feels very thin.
HPI check will show up any finance on the car ( unless you just got a basic loan yourself and then bought the trophy with the money )...you will need to pay that off 1st...maybe you could find a buyer willing to pay whats owing direct to the loan company ?..difficult i would imagine
You should...
Hey Tijmen
wow i cant belive they sold so few 182s in holland...maybe you should be the first to bring a trophy over there.
a few people on the site also have GTTs so i'm sure you'll fit right in.
my MK1 172 rusted from water obivously lying inside the tailgate after only a couple years.
also worth checking behind the number plate, quite ofter dealers put their own plates on a car but never seem to use the existing holes and drill 2 more, they never bother to seal the original holes and...
