Car now sold to Dave, who I'm sure will be along soon to introduce himself and update the owners register. It's good to see it go to a car enthusiast on the forum.
The set of 5x 15" OZ F1s are still for sale £150.
Thanks for the complement Mark! Yes I'm quite busy over the Christmas period but generally I can always do Thursdays or Sundays. I'm based right in the centre of Northampton 5 mins or so from jct 15 on the M1. I will PM you my contact details in case you want to organise a visit.
Hi and welcome to the forum. Yes cambelt was done in 2010. Also I got the mileage wrong it's just over 94k sorry. I will hopefully get some photos taken on Tuesday and get them posted up. Where abouts are you based?
Also I forgot to mention I have a set of 5x 15" OZ F1s suitable for...
I think the time has come to sell my car after 4 years of ownership. I fancy a change now and dare I say it probably something diesel.
Once I get round to getting it out the garage and taking some photos I will post them up but at the moment just gauging interest really.
It has full service...
Did the TDC sensor solve this? It is spooky how similar my situation is. I was having problems with ABS and traction control light coming on when I was using some electrics (fan, lights etc.) then the next time I went to start it wouldn't start, jump started fine and worked ok then last time the...
Welcome to the forum, I love the mk1 RS.
I think the Clios run a lot better on 98 Ron+ I certainly noticed the difference and there is a sticker on the inside of the fuel cap that says 98 Ron recommended. :)
My dampers are on the way back from CF at the moment so when they're back on the car I will let you know my thoughts. After driving with cup dampers on the road and track I imagine they will feel extremely firm.
I was going to refurb them anyway but I was just amazed at how far the rod was moving on the better looking one. The other makes a hissing sound when I lean on it! :(
I've got the front Sachs off the car ready to send for a refurb. One is definitely leaking/leaked and the other isn't looking good but the strange thing is when compressing the obviously leaky one it compresses easily like you would think, but with the other one, it's stiffer but I can push that...

They come with a triangular tab with a hole in, like on the end of harnesses so you need a bolt to screw in. There is a link to a Seat Cupra forum on here with an extremely complex way of fitting them involving cutting, drilling and taping the original tow eye.
At the meet I remember him quite proudly telling me he hadn't changed the wiper stalk lol. Unless he couldn't bare the ridiculous wiper speeds any more, I guess it would still be the same.
I must add I also have the original stalk instead of the 'performance upgrade' stalk :p
So... on his website he says someone wearing hi-vis will meet you at Gatwick when you choose meet and greet with them, in his reviews he is wearing a hi-vis jacket and a number of videos start with a message saying "Gatwick Car Parkers - car reviews by a valet driver"
But he runs a comparison...
Had a look at my suspension this evening and that is exactly what has happened to mine. Just the kick up the behind I needed to sort out some sport lines and rear koni's, then get the fronts off to cornering force for a refurb.
When I bought mine I looked for all the obvious stuff you would when you buy a car (mileage, condition, number of owners ect.) but probably one of the most useful things was the owners register on here. Ask for the number of the car and find all the previous owners on here, look at their posts...
As depressing as it is I think it's true. I've had my Trophy for nearly 3 years now and it doesn't feel any where near as good as when I first got it. I guess it's a combination of tyres (I've just put a set of Hankook V12 evos on which I'm seriously disappointed with) and my dampers slowly but...
I know a guy who works for ford body shop in Irthlingborough, Northmptonshire. He's very good, he wax oiled my mates Integra. The garage is called Central Ford.
