This will be interesting to watch. https://auctions.wbandsons.com/auction/lot/lot-18---2005-renault-clio-sport-trophy-182/?lot=91&so=0&st=&sto=0&au=6&ef=&et=&ic=False&sd=0&pp=12&pn=2&g=1
An outstanding result for an 18 year old car that has already won Best Hot Hatch of the century. The Yaris looks a great car that won an uneven contest (how good would a Trophy be if made today). Also a lot of the voters won’t be exposed to the Trophy, instead they vote for what is in their...
With all the talk of inflation and recessions, there's obviously still plenty of spending money sloshing about anyway.
Buying assets as soon as inflation begins is often advisable.
It seems to be an unusual vote, how could the Trophy lose after the last vote. Or have I missed something?

Slaidburn to High Bentham must be one of the very best Trophy roads there is. In fact the whole of the Trough of Bowland is a match for anywhere, it is virtually all owned by the Duchy of Lancaster ( Charles III is the Duke of Lancaster) and Duke of Westminster. It would make a superb weekend...
The E-Type is in lovely condition but I could never see what all the fuss was about. Not too bad as a convertible.
One of my favourite looking cars is a BMW 1 Series Coupe in any variant, but best as a 1M. Its the balanced design that is pleasing to the eye.
Let’s make a start. I am not saying that it’s suspicious that the car has only done 70 miles in the last 9 years without an MOT, that is for the purchaser to decide. Did we have a similar car on here?
What can we glean from the photos?
Missing strut cap
Corroded charge pipe and retaining nuts...
Yes, seen it Nick. A few bits to put right but a good car,. As with a Trophy they have to have the important bits, in this case a QS with Poles is worth £2k more than one without.
I hope to watch the auction next weekend, there is also an auction in the North East that has Bill Wymans Ferrari...
Is a Williams a better car than the Trophy? I think I have previously mentioned value & hype (Fiat Panda 4x4). Keeping Trophy’s away from Collecting Cars for a while would be beneficial for prices and limiting supply.
This may be a bit like a typical house buying boom whereby you hear just how much a neighbour has put their house up for sale, and we say ‘blooming heck have you heard how much they are asking?’ Only to notice that others are now also asking similar.
With a limited edition highly rated car such...
A lot of people don’t know speed limits, they just assume them. All roads are 60mph unless told or have pavements and streetlights making them 30mph unless told otherwise. Dual carriageways and Motorways are 70 mph unless told otherwise.
It couldn’t be any simpler, could it?
Certainly a big hit - but maybe they know something about the market that we don’t.
Markets go up and down and currently the Nation is paying for the Covid nonsense/financial disaster, plus its Winter with all the fuel/Ukraine nonsense. A good time to buy, but still try and buy the best one...
