The daily driver!

I’m intrigued as to what most people actually use as their daily drivers / family wagons.

I’m happy to kick this off:

mine - a 2003 Range Rover TD6 bought because the dog isn’t sick in it! Opted out of the company car scheme due to need for something with long range and ability to haul dog, son and bikes!

my wife’s - a 2013 Infiniti FX bought before we got the dog and realised she hated it and was/is sick on every journey!

The Rangie was a £3k purchase from a man in a multi storey car park in Glasgow from the FFRR owners forum. Have to say love it and will never be without one !

When i had my T my daily driver was, and still is a BMW X5 40D.... Ive had one for the last 8 years or so,, love em... [Im on my 3rd one now..]...

I would be using my Trophy as a daily driver if it were running, but that's not the case at the moment. Hence I've been using the GT4 (reluctantly) when I've not been unable to use my missus' Abarth. Mind you, all three are off the road at the moment so we walk or go nowhere!

This M2 is my go to vehicle at the minute. I’ve barely driven the Trophy in the last 3 years. I could never sell it though.

Got an A6 Black Ed Avant as my daily, my Wife has a Countryman and I’ve also got a QS and a Boxster. Nearly forgot this

I've got a 2008 VW Golf GT TDi as my daily while the T is tucked away.

It is the most sensible daily I've had in years, paid £3k for it and it does everything I need it to do in comfort and with great fuel economy.

So here’s my past 48hrs with cars:

1. Trophy makes its mark in the garage, think you were right it might be PAS fluid.

2. Range Rover goes in a height restricted multi storey. Not an issue we’ll lower the suspension off, suspension decides to not work, with 3cm clearance we manage to make it to a car parking space on date night…..on the 10th floor wife my better half having to check rack concrete beam. We would have gone to the 11th but that was lower than the others

3. Infiniti throws a wobbly and cuts out on the A52 and dash looks like a Christmas tree, taken to Diamond Motors on a flat bed tonight!

which leaves us with a 20yr old Range Rover with non functionalsuspension as the only vehicle….restricted to 35mph!

you have to laugh, cars always keep it interesting

Might be looking for a cheap temporary automatic shortly….wonder if she’d go for a cheap Range Rover or a Clio?!?

SWMBO has declared she’s lost faith in the Infiniti FX so time for a change!

I currently run a banger td6 L322….just spent nearly £1500 on it today with new air compressor, 2 suspension air bags, service and a lower control arm…..

Cheers, not had the Integra that long and wanted one for about 20 years. It doesn't disappoint.

M2 is obviously a great car but the Honda you have to work at and its thrills are more accessible more of the time, it goes as well for a 25 year old car and what you carry through corners is impressive. Initial turn is not as keen because of tyre wall but id say it handles better than the Meg RS265 I had, it will rotate on lift also which I'm used to and like. Like the Megane it all becomes clear when you just start pushing on, it makes sense then and you get the accolade as it seems to get on its toes and moves around. But it is raw.

Pretty much the best seats Ive ever sat in of any car.

Want an Elise next so see how that goes, Integra might have to make way for it.
