When was the last time anyone saw a project Williams for £3-5k???

There a bit out on the excellent condition too - one at Silverstone auction at the weekend made 30k - the Auction in November at the NEC another made 36k

In saying that there are a lot of dogs out there that were driven hard and have been tarted badly up with poor paint and copper coloured wheels etc, just to flip a profit…

That has always hurt the values, as those cars are what people see advertised and the good genuine ones rarely come up for sale!

Just out of interest for those aficionados or potential buyers. Some of the finer points of a genuinely good Williams (from mine) for reference of anyone buying, although I doubt you’ll ever find them all on the one car… Original dealer clear tabs on original un-repainted wings (find another ‘original’ car with them), Original exhaust, Original tyres, Original unrefurbished wheels (with crystal clear Speedline and Renault embossing), Dealer sticker, Original blaupunkt and alarm stickers, Original decal behind the fuel filler, headlamp protectors, Original wheel nuts, only ever taken off with the supplied wheel brace, Original keys, fob and dealer keyring. There are so many bad tarted up cars for sale out there, hopefully this helps point out the good things to look for

What is the exhaust manifold heatshield like?

Heatshield is good, never been off the car….plus I bought a spare one from Renault 20yrs ago (just in case) that’s just sitting in the shed

I know he's not seen his own for year's now.
