I’d love a go in an original Williams 1. I can still remember trying to get my father to have one as a company car back in the day! He was having none of it!

“But on the day, Ford at the top of its game still can’t quite match the French at the top of theirs. The 208 is a masterclass in making a modern hot hatchback, and illustrates how engaging an edgier chassis can be. The Clio? Proof that ingredients and portion size matter as much as...
I’m really surprised that the eBay listing has been removed as it looked like the still had quite a few left. When I last checked they had over 30 pairs left. Wish I’d bought a pair now!
Is there any difference between the Trophy rears and a set of cup rears?

Give Rob Kucia a call. He’s based inbetween Caerleon and Cwmbran (NP18 1GD). He has just done my cambelt (and a couple of other jobs for £900). He races several of his own clios so knows them in and out. I’m pretty sure he’s also an ex Renault mechanic.

Just thought I’d mention that a local charity is organising a car show at Mamhilad Business Park on the 29th July. It’s in between Newport and Abergavenny (link below to Facebook page). I’ll be there but it’d be nice to have a couple other Trophies representing...
I’ve been asking around. No one will repair as it’s not leather apparently. It’s going to be difficult to get a match for the one panel so realistically the job will involve the whole seat or seats if you want it to match.

Has anyone used a company to repair an open crack in the leather? I have a 10cm open crack on the driver side lower bolster nearest to the door. I’m struggling to find anyone around South Wales to do a mobile repair.
I’m undecided whether to get a repair or have the bolster reupholstered. It...
I’m aware it moves up and down. It’s the way the top of the wheel is tilted away from you like a bus steering wheel I didn’t like.

It’s got some Toyo Proxes which held up surprisingly well. I swapped the fronts around lunch time to spread the wear. They’re directional tread but it made no difference running them backwards! Firming up the front and reducing rear pressure made a big difference though.

Done my first track day in the Trophy today. Can’t fault the car save for one thing... the way the steering wheel is tilted away from you. Is there anything available to change the angle?

Probably, but I was just hoping I could get a steel wheel the same size as a Turini so that I could use the same size tyres. I can’t seem to find a steel wheel the same size anywhere!
It was easier to track down the Sachs dampers!

I'm looking at getting a steel wheel to run as a spare in the boot. Can anyone tell me if this is the correct size as a direct replacement?

I think they’ve risen to a point where fewer people are willing/able to spend £6k-£8k. There’s quite a bit of competition at this price point and attention is still very much with the earlier generation 205’s and Williams’. If you look at these earlier cars they took a very long time to get...
