I'm somewhere in between minds on these 'collector' cars. I like the fact that a small proportion of a limited run is maintained 'as new' with incredibly low mileage
Hopefully those 11k miles were enjoyable ones which is better than 70k motorway miles on a Trophy - completely pointless and even...
Mine (259) and my brother's (308) are both located in north west England. The standard bits (recaros, sachs, turinis etc) are present on both cars. The only modifications are the exhaust systems (I have a Yozzasport and he has a Scorpion RS192)
£4.5k to £5k seems very cheap for a Trophy with all the big jobs done quite recently. If someone buys it at that price they are getting a steal IMO
The only real bargaining point a buyer would have is the wheels
I update mine on an annual basis but am happy to share any information for your project :)
I have a pretty clean example though, not sure if owners with less history would feel as comfortable but we will see
I’ve got a Mk 7 Golf R and a Trophy and my twin brother had an S4 and a Trophy
The Golf R is definitely fastest on the road, the S4 is the best mile muncher and the Trophy is the best drive for sheer enjoyment
Not sure I could drive a Trophy every day though after spending so much time in...
I had use of an Integra for about a year or so when my brother was travelling and can agree that it's an incredible car. Looking forward to reading the magazine, I've bought Modern Classics since issue #1 - it's a great read
Thanks for the replies guys. I spoke to Andy at Birchdown earlier so will look to get it in asap. Diamond Motors would be a 4 hour round trip I think so a bit of a stretch
I'll probably drop it off and find a local golf course. Hopefully it will done in the time it takes to play 18 holes :)
I'll resurrect this thread rather than start a new one
Belts are due now on time (only done 5k miles since last change) so I'm looking for somewhere in the North West to get them done
Birchdown is a pretty long round trip but is the sensible option of taking it there the only option? I have a...
Ha ha that's brilliant. I've always considered Trophy ownership like the conversation in Gremlins. People might think they are ready for a Mogwai/Trophy but they need to acknowledge the history and follow the rules
