Going to be replacing mine before the winter properly sets in. Having a look online I can only really find threads from years ago.

Is there a current recommended go-to battery for these? I'm imagining an offering from Bosch is a safe bet.

Standard air box and you can have either the 075 Battery Or the 063.

If you are running a k-tec induction kit, JMRS or a home made one you need to fit the smaller 063 for the filter to fit

Have had a look and prices seem to vary a bit but these seem fairly cheap-

Notice there are a couple each of the Bosch and Exide. Can I go wrong here or am I as well going for the cheaper?

Bigger saving on ebay

Personally if it was me I would be going for the Exide as a cheap battery and a Bosch as the expensive one so if on a budget the above is what you want.

Here is a Bosch one that cheaper also on eBay and once again with Free postage.

I will Stress that if you do need to claim warranty it can be a pain as you would need to send it back and there might be a delay in having a car battery.

If you do buy from a local motor factors you will be paying more but if warranty is needed it can be done on a day at the depo you bought it from.

Did a bit of research into this myself about 8 months ago - came up with a varta silver dynamics 54 being the best and largest I could fit in mine - I do run a maxogen though, which limits space in the battery area.

Is the standard one the 075?

I don't do many miles but think I might get a new one for the winter
