My sachs were refurbished before my ownership so I just replicated how they were built.
Plus there is a spacer nut on the shaft under the top cup. Makes me think something is not right although there isn't any knocks when driving.
Nice clean engine bay by the way 👌
Ive often wondered on the top mounts if this is how they should fit under the bonnet?
I had my car serviced at a renault dealer and they said the top mounts are loose as in not touching the body work.
I argued that thats how they fit (i copied the previous fitment).
How do other people's sit on...
Im glad to help wherever I can. Ive been working on cars for almost 30 years and have had a lot of problems to fix on cars. Alot are people's bad workmanship. Some are just built badly by manufacturers.
I wish I still had the mi16. Loved driving it but spent alot of time fixing it also
This is a picture of a door off ebay. All clios of our era should have a membrane inside between the door and door card (i think it dark grey and made of thick ish foam type material).
If you look you can see the black line where there is sealer to glue it to the door that acts as a waterproof...
Ive ofter wondered if the driveshafts are the same between a standard 182 with no cup packs and a trophy?

Some are cars used only in better weather than this time of year, some are low mileage and some are used as they were made to be used.
My curiosity is what are people using as their daily driver if they are not using the clio?

I had a noise in the same area and it turned out to be the power steering pump but that had more of a whistling noise and not as noisy. It could be the dephaser because ive heard they make alot of noise when on the way out. As to how the dephaser sounds I have no idea because ive not heard 1...
It's a massive shame to see another 1 off the road permanently. The damage is easily fixed but it's the cost of the repair and availability of new parts which probably hindered its chances.
