I had the Trophy out in the rain for the first time since the respray and glass replacement today.
Actually having Michelin Pilot Sport 5’s fitted all round. That’s another story. I’ll post a separate thread on how they feel. I’ve heard good things…
Back on topic. I noticed water dribbling from the bottom of the door card, down the plastic cill trim and into the carpet. A steady and annoying trickle.
My guess is something has gone wrong reassembling the card after the respray.
is there a common problem / solution / mistake made by body shops?
Any advice would be appreciated.
The body shop are going to fix it but I was hoping to go in with a known fix if I can…

This is a picture of a door off ebay. All clios of our era should have a membrane inside between the door and door card (i think it dark grey and made of thick ish foam type material).
If you look you can see the black line where there is sealer to glue it to the door that acts as a waterproof layer to direct water and moisture back inside the door to drain out the holes onto the sill step.
All I can think of is that the sealer has been disturbed and isnt touching the inner door anymore or there is a hole in the membrane

Thanks!
These forums are great. What a wonderful community of helpful people.
Sorry I don’t know your name.
I like your Mi16! An amazing French fancy and super rare these days.
Looks like I need to replicate the membrane and sealant.

Im glad to help wherever I can. Ive been working on cars for almost 30 years and have had a lot of problems to fix on cars. Alot are people's bad workmanship. Some are just built badly by manufacturers.
I wish I still had the mi16. Loved driving it but spent alot of time fixing it also
